Year after year, the streets of the municipality of Puerto de la Cruz, in Tenerife, prepare for the celebration of the Mueca International Festival, one of the most important street art exhibitions in Europe
The Department of Culture of the Municipality of Puerto de la Cruz and the Plataforma Cómplices Mueca, have joined forces for another year so that the squares and streets of the municipality are dressed in culture and art. With this beautiful initiative thousands of visitors can enjoy a variety of shows.
For more than fifteen years this Mueca festival has been held, which is gradually becoming a European cultural reference. In the last editions, more than 60 companies with more than 100 artists have participated, distributed in 15 stages. There is room for local, national and international artists, from the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria and many other countries.
This beautiful initiative began with the intention of bringing art and culture closer to everyone. The shows offered are focused on the family’s enjoyment and sharing. These shows serve to reflect and make society aware of issues that concern us through any artistic expression, such as theatre, mime, dance, music, etc.
