Barranco Ruiz is a spectacular ravine located in the north of the island of Tenerife, near San Juan de la Rambla. It is a protected area and was declared a site of scientific interest in the Canarian Law of Natural Areas. A trail full of contrasts and nature, with well-conserved endemic plants and a rich population of birds. The second part of this trail goes through an old road used by the Guanches –who were the aboriginal inhabitants of the islands– to move goat herds along the coast.
